New programmes which were put in place keeping in focus the Board examinations have begun to yield encouraging results. Some exciting plans are ready to be launched to enhance the academic programme through emphasis on skills and enquiry to challenge the curious young minds. An effective communicator is one who is most likely to make an impact, hence our special attention to ensure that the students acquire the art of expressing their thoughts. At the core of all our planning is the question ‘why'. The purpose directs our endeavours in cultural, social, outward-bound and sporting activities. Quoting Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, I say that we produce young adults who are “physically savage and mentally civilized”. A true Sun International School student displays a fine aesthetic sense, sensitivity and consideration for all human endeavours, nature and fellow citizens, while he is capable of withstanding physical hardship and does not falter when duty calls.
My dream is that the school will be an ideal ground to nurture children of many different abilities and will help each child to discover himself as he goes through his school life.
